THE Gondola Ride

 When we were in Las Vegas, oh probably 9 months ago, Kembri saw the gondola rides they do there in one of the casinos.  She really wanted to go on it.  Her birthday was in just a couple weeks, so we said maybe we would take her on one back home for her birthday.  Here birthday came and went and no gondola ride.  Well she did not forgot! Every couple of weeks she would say very impatiently, "When are we going to go on my gondola ride?"  The day finally came ...Saturday night, we went on her ride! 

Alexa's Birthday Party

It seems like we are always traveling for Alexa's birthday so she hasn't had to many friend birthday parties.  So this year we made sure it happened. We had already planned what we wanted to do but not when we were going to do it,  So Thursday night I decided the next night would work the best so we through it together.  I think it was a blast.  It was a camping late night.  So we set up the tent in the backyard, had a fire, hotdogs,smores, and decorated glow in the dark shirts (well some of them were glow in the dark:)).  Then when it started to get dark we got all our glow sticks on and wet out and played flashlight tag and some other games. Then the girls came back and played games in the in the tent.  I think they had a good time.

 

We left the tent up, so the next night all the girls slept out in it.  We have a tradition of decorating the Birthday girls room but since the where in the tent we tee-peed the tent!

Here's what happened this week here at our house....

 Monday they had a talent show at school.  Of course my girls want to participate..it would be just wrong to let a talent show go by without doing something in it, right!  So they sang a song together.  They did great!

Tuesday, Lacie and Alexa had a band concert, which they did amazing in! And Kembri and Cessilee had their Joy school graduation:)

Wednesday, the older four girls had a gymnastics recital.  It was so fun to watch them do all their tricks!

Alexa's 9th Birthday

Holy Cow..It has been a whole year since I posted!! I was emailing my sister, Michelle, who is on her mission right now, some highlights of our week and I thought, I have got to start blogging again!  I love looking back on all the pictures!  So I doubt anybody is still following this anymore but I am excited to start it up again for myself!! So here we go:)  First off today is my sweet Alexa's birthday!!!!!!

What a sweet little spirit she brings into our lives.  I still remember the day she was born.  We had complications and miracles happening from the very beginning of my pregnancy up until the very end.  I remember the moment I heard her sweet little cry, I couldn't hold back the tears myself.  Oh boy, was I so happy to have her here on the earth safe and sound! I still remember the moment they placed her in my arms I thought, "Where in the world did all this dark hair come from?"  Definitely not me, I was bald as could be!

She brings so much fun into our lives.  I sure do love this dark haired beauty! Happy Birthday, Lexa!! We all love you so much!

 AND Happy Birthday to Grandma Conover!!! Alexa is lucky enough to be able to share her birthday with an amazing women, mother, and grandmother!! Happy Birthday, Sarah!!! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mother-in-law!
