THE HILL

To get to our apartment you have to go up this hill. It may not look that big but when you are walking up it it is a KILLER!!! And to make things worse the fitness center is down the hill so after you workout you have to climb up this and by the time I get to my apartment I literally fall on the couch completely exhausted!!

P.S. I know Lacie looks like she is in a mini skirt and well yes she is :) This was the first and LAST time this summer for her to wear that out it has now become Alexa's!!

Percy Priest Lake

Lake Percy is about 3/4 of a mile from our house so we have decided to go and have a picnic there today. Craig officially starts work next week. He is trying to start earlier but he has to finish up his online classes first so we have been taking advantage of this time. We know once he starts he will be working like CRAZY and won't be able to do anything with us.

Lacie and Alexa love throwing rocks into the lake. They also enjoy trying to see how much of their feet they can get wet since we told them not to get in. Yes, they love to walk the line!!

We can even see our water park from across the Lake.

Our Road Trip

On the way to Tennessee we drove through a lot of different states. One was Indiana. We didn't think to take a picture when we were driving through Wyoming. So right before we left Indiana we pulled over and took a picture. This was the pretty part. Up by Indianapolis was very ugly, at least I thought it was.

I was very surprised when we drove through Louisville, KY that it actually looked like a pretty exciting city. It was at night so all the buildings were lite up and there was a big river going around most of it so it had a lot of bridges going into downtown which made it look kind of cool. You can't really tell much from the picture but here it is anyway.

Downtown Louisville, KY

We were trying to get a picture in front of a Kentucky license plate so we had proof we were there but with the flash you couldn't see the license plate anyway. Actually, with all of the pictures we were taking we wanted to be able to have something from the state in our picture so we would remember where it was taken.

And yes for any of you that remember the movie Elizabethtown, which ended up being a terrible movie from what I remember, we were lucky enough to stop in the famous town. :)

We Finally Made It!!!
Welcome to Tennessee. Around 11:00pm we drove into Nashville. And we finally found a Jack in the Box! :). They don't have them in Utah and the whole way here we looked for one and couldn't find one until right outside of Nashville we were able to eat at one. It is amazing how when you don't have a Jack in the Box you really crave it.

One of the days we were visiting with Sherri we were able to drive down to Nauvoo. We got off kind of late but we still were able to do a lot of fun .

The kids made their own rope.

Ashlyn enjoyed taking care of the babies.

We learned how the pioneers made bricks.

We saw how horse shoes were made and we were even lucky enough to all get prairie rings. Which were horseshoe nails made into a ring. It is pretty cool.

We saw where Joseph, Emma and Hiram are buried. And of course the kids found leaves to put on their headstones.

We throw rocks into the Great Mississippi.

And of course we had a lot of fun. Especially taking pictures in front of the temple. Which happened to be closed.

Shauna and Cliff's House

Our next stop was Shauna and Cliff's house in Des Moines,IA. The girls were so excited. The first night they attempted to all sleep in the same bed, but after about 20 minutes of lots of laughing and talking we had to separate them. They had so much fun though. Their house is so nice. We are so glad we had a chance to go and visit them for a couple days. We wish it had been longer!

Winter Quarters

We took a week to get to Tennessee so we would have time for some stops. One of our very quick stops was in Omaha, Nebraska. Craig, Lacie and I have all been there before (of course Lacie didn't remember it) but we were driving trough and wanted to stop again. It is a neat place. One time when we had gone there it was during the winter and it just made it so real of how the pioneers had to live. The girls enjoyed it, they enjoy every temple we go to! You can tell by the way the kids act that they can feel the spirit just by seeing the Temple. The girls picked flowers (or weeds) and walked around trying to find a good headstone to put them on.

Our Adventure

Trying to pack suitcases for 5 people for 4 months, being pregnant, trying to pack up the house to move and having 3 girls is a bit challenging. So Debbie was kind enough to come and stay with us for a week to help us. If she hadn't we wouldn't have left on time for sure. THANKS DEBBIE you were such a big help!!!

WE MADE IT!!!!
It was a very tight squeeze but we fit everything in are van.We took as little as possible yet keeping in mind we will be there for 4 months. We also packed things about 4 feet high on our roof but didn't have to leave anything. Way to go Kiera and Craig. On to Iowa then Illinois then are new home in Tennessee.

Lacie Memorizes 13 Arcticles of Faith

Lacie's Primary was giving the kids that memorized all of the Articles of Faith a picture with them and Jesus in it. So Lacie wanted to get this before she moved. She memorized 3 or 4 of them a couple weeks before we moved then the week we were moving she memorized rest of them . On some days she was memorizing 3 and 4 a day. But she learned them really well. We would have her work on them with either me, Craig or Debbie then pass them off to one of the other people. She did an amazing job! She even was understanding what a lot of them meant. It was so cute hearing her memorize these huge words that she could hardly even say.

Easter Morning

Mom, Dad and Hunter had to leave this morning, but we got to find Our Easter baskets before they left.

Lacie LOVES Hannah Montana. She has been wanting this poster for a while so she was lucky enough to get it in her Easter basket. She is very excited!!
Don't the girls look so beautiful in their new Easter dresses.
